Thumb warmer...
«

Seems to be some issue with it. I thought it was just bad so I replaced it last year but it still doesn't seem to work.
I've checked the voltage but get inconsistent readings.
What I want to know is: can I just hook this thing up to my battery with a kill switch on it, or will that toast it (and possibly my thumb).

have looked into your switch? what machine is this on? possibly the switch is bad or going. or a loose connector at the switch.

I have a Skidoo Grand Touring and it has 5 different power levels.
I replaced the thumb warmer a couple years ago and it didn't seem to make much difference.
I decided to check the power level at the splice (which I did on the steering column). When I switched power levels, the voltage reading would change as it should, but for whatever reason the thumb warmer never seems to warm up.
I also tried a little later and I couldn't get consistent readings... so... I just want to bypass it altogther and just be done with it.
